CSEA Local 640 members are reminded to have their CSEA member ID numbers handy. The petitioning period for the positions of president, vice president, recording secretary, and treasurer is now under way. It is not too late to nominate someone or yourself by requesting candidate eligibility forms, individual and slate petition requests, and petitions, but you will want to do so quickly to take advantage of the full petitioning period. Petitions are due back to an election committee member by 5:00 p.m. Monday, May 15.

CSEA members, please have your CSEA member cards available. If you are asked and agree to sign a petition for a potential candidate, your CSEA ID number is required on the petition at the time of signing. If you don’t know or don’t have your CSEA ID number, you can call the membership department at (800) 342-4146 ext. 1334 or ext. 1329, or (518) 257-1334 or (518) 257-1329. You can also visit the CSEA website and get it instantly. Simply enter the last four digits of your NYS employee ID number (which starts with the letter N and can be found on your pay stub), first and last name, and zip code and click “Look Up CSEA ID” to retrieve it.
