The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the College Senate Curriculum Committee for spring 2018 review:

Course Revisions:
HEW 279 Exercise Physiology I. Prerequisite: BIO 100 or BIO 111. Concepts of human anatomy and physiology as they relate to exercise and health. Introduction to the major systems of the body as they relate to exercise. Functions and purpose of the musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, nervous, and hormonal systems as they relate to healthy populations; the roles of energy systems during physical activity and exercise.

HEW 302 Exercise Physiology II. Prerequisites: HEW 279 and BIO 308 or BIO 311. Exercise and its effects on the human body. Practical knowledge of the principles of fitness testing and exercise prescription, and application of knowledge to improve fitness and athletic performance in healthy and diseased human populations. Offered every semester.
