Faculty Development Workshop: Collaborative Learning - September 15

The Professional Development Center will offer a workshop on collaborative learning on Tuesday, September 15, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in Butler Library 181B. Collaborative learning is defined as a learning environment in which two or more people are engaged in an attempt to acquire new knowledge or skills. Recent research suggests that collaborative learning engages students by providing the opportunity to share ideas and co-construct knowledge. In this presentation, Bill White, professor and director of faculty development, will lead participants through a discussion of the importance of collaborative learning and ways in which this approach can be used in higher education classrooms. Light refreshments will be provided.

Please register through the CyberQuad Workshop Registration System.
