Bridget María Chesterton, Professor, History and Social Studies Education

In her role as president of the Middle Atlantic Council of Latin American StudiesBridget María Chesterton, professor of history and social studies education, organized and hosted the council's 38th annual conference, "Changing Climates in the Americas," at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, March 9 and 10. With over 90 presenters and 20 panels, the conference was an overwhelming success.

Dr. Chesterton also published the chapter "From Porteño to Pontero: The Shifting of Paraguayan Geography and Identity in Asunción in the Early Years of the Stroessner Regime" in the book Big Water: The Making of the Borderlands between Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay (University of Arizona Press, 2018; pp. 242–265).
