Amy Crockford, lecturer in the Speech-Language Pathology Department, published her first children’s book, My Happy Place, which chronicles the experiences of a 10-year-old deaf girl. Ms. Crockford is a course instructor for SLP 101 and SLP 102, American Sign Language 1 and 2. She will host a family-friendly book-signing event on Saturday, September 22, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Flight of Five Winery, 2 Pine Street, in Lockport. September is National Deaf Awareness Month.
