Painting Uncorked at the Center: October 27

The Burchfield Penney Art Center will host an evening workshop, "Painting Uncorked at the Center," with instructors Jody Ziehm and Beverly DiPalma on Thursday, October 27, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Set in a casual atmosphere, "Painting Uncorked" is a fun painting experience with step-by-step instruction. Participants will create their own watercolor; no experience is necessary. Artists Jody Ziehm and Beverly DiPalma offer a friendly approach to their instruction. Participants will be inspired by Charles E. Burchfield. Come alone or with a group of friends or family. All materials are provided: paint, brushes, paper, and aprons. Wine and hors d'oeuvres are included. Participants will leave with their own original 16 x 20 inch painting, matted and ready to frame.

Part of the International Center for Watercolor. The cost is $55 for Burchfield Penney members and Buffalo State faculty, staff, and students; and $65 for not-yet members. To register, please contact Kathy Gaye Shiroki, curator of museum learning and community engagement, 878-3549. More information is available on the Burchfield Penney Art Center website.
