Carol Darstein, director of Pre-award and Contract Services, will offer faculty and staff members the opportunity to learn about the various aspects of grant writing on Tuesday, October 27, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in Butler Library 181B. Writing a grant proposal requires planning, time, and dedication. This presentation will include some specific information directed at new faculty and staff members. Topics will include seeking funding sources, planning and preparing a grant proposal, structuring a budget, and electronically submitting proposals. The role of the Research Foundation for the State University of New York, as well as current trends in federal and state funding, will also be discussed. All are welcome to attend.
