Bridget María Chesterton, Professor, History and Social Studies Education

In order to bring awareness and understanding around the Lindsay Clancy trial, Bridget María Chesterton, professor of history and social studies education, has been speaking to the press about her experience with Postpartum Psychosis in 2019 after the birth of her daughter. Her experience has been written about by the Associated Press and featured on NEWS10 ABC in Albany. This October, Dr. Chesterton will be chairing a panel at the American Studies Association meeting in Chicago about “Madness in the Family.” She will bring her personal experience and insights to a panel with the hope of bringing more attention, understanding, and social change around this medical emergency.
