Academic Advising Tip of the Week: Push Students to Get Involved

Here's one easy thing you can do this week to help the students you advise: 

More than three decades of research on the causes of student attrition have demonstrated that engaged students who build meaningful relationships on campus stay in school at higher rates and have a better shot at college success. 

By reminding your advisees of the countless opportunities to get involved on campus, you can help them start building those connections. 

Here are just some examples of ways students can get involved: 

Just one positive engagement experience might make an enormous impact during the student's time in college and beyond!
