'Bees, Trees, and Beyond: Restoring Ecosystem Functionality and Biodiversity' - October 21

Please join us for “Bees, Trees, and Beyond: Restoring Ecosystem Functionality and Biodiversity,” presented by author and ecologist Heather Holm, on Friday, October 21, at 6:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center’s Tower Auditorium. Ms. Holm, a biologist and pollinator conservationist, is known for her passionate presentations that educate audiences on the critical importance of native pollinators, beneficial insects, and the essential native plants that support them. She is the author of four books, including Pollinators of Native Plants (2014), Bees (2017), and Common Native Bees of the Eastern United States (2022). All are welcome. Admission is free. This program is sponsored by the Buffalo State Friends of the Maud Gordon Holmes Arboretum, the Burchfield Penney Art Center, the Buffalo State Sustainability Task Force, and the Pollinator Conservation Association. Please contact Susan A. McCartney, director of the Small Business Development Center, with questions.
