Bengals Dare to Care Day: Faculty and Staff Project Leaders Needed

Bengals Dare to Care Day 2019 will be held on Saturday, September 21, from 8:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and we need your help! There will be 30–35 community service projects throughout the city of Buffalo, and each project needs a site coordinator to assist with logistics. Please consider signing up for this critical role in the campus's day of service.

Your responsibilities will include signing students in to your project, greeting and communicating with your community partner upon arriving at the project site, keeping your volunteers motivated and safe, facilitating a reflection discussion after the project is complete, and being a point of contact with the Civic and Community Engagement Office throughout the morning. In return, you will get to know a great group of community-minded students, meet incredible community members doing great work throughout our city, and receive a delicious lunch when you return.

Site coordinator volunteers must be available for one of the following training dates:

  • Tuesday, September 17, 12:15–1:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 18, 6:00–7:00 p.m.

Please complete the site coordinator registration form to let us know of your willingness to serve in the site coordinator role. Questions can be directed to Aurora Schunk, assistant director of civic and community engagement, at cce@buffalostate.edu.
