Call for Proposals - AFP 2018: Repair the World. The Time Is NOW

The Anne Frank Project invites members of the campus community to submit proposals for AFP 2018: Repair the World. The Time Is NOW, the 10th annual social justice festival, which will be held on campus October 2 and 3. AFP’s annual festival is an experiential exchange of ideas with a focus on processing theory into practice. We seek performances, workshops, and exhibits that actively engage participants in kinesthetic learning opportunities that

  • explore the AFP 2018 theme;
  • teach tools and vocabulary for community building, conflict resolution, and identity exploration;
  • embrace the life and writing of Anne Frank;
  • explore a diverse array of disciplines, cultures, and viewpoints.

Proposals for the 2018 festival are due Sunday, July 1. All applicants will be contacted by the end of July. Please submit proposals using the AFP 2018 proposal form.

About Our Theme
The last year has seen unparalleled changes in western philosophies, morals, and ethics. If parts of our world are indeed breaking, is it not our responsibility to repair them? Anne Frank dreamed of a world where "tikkun olam" (repair the world) was not just spoken but practiced. AFP 2018 encourages presenters to share methods, practices, and experiences that teach tools and vocabulary to repair the world.

For more information about the proposal process and the Anne Frank Project, please visit the AFP Social Justice Festival website.
