New Courses:
CRS 689 Introduction to Research Methods in Creativity Studies. Prerequisite: CRS 620 or equivalent. Exploration of research methods applicable to the field of creativity. Strengths and limitations of various qualitative and quantitative research methods. Examination of research articles for each design. Critical evaluation of published creativity research. Development of awareness on standards set for ethical issues and academic and scholarly writing. Design of small-scale creativity studies. Offered occasionally, beginning fall 2020.

CRS 740 Quantitative Data Analysis and Statistics in Creativity Studies I. Prerequisite: CRS 689. Exploration of foundational statistics and quantitative research methods applicable to creativity research. Application of descriptive and inferential univariate statistics. Conducting and reporting statistical analyses using statistical software programs through lab experiences. Linking various research designs to appropriate statistical analyses. Critical evaluation of published research in the field of creativity. Offered occasionally, beginning summer 2020.

CRS 741 Quantitative Data Analysis and Statistics in Creativity Studies II. Prerequisites: CRS 689 and CRS 740. Exploration of advanced statistics and quantitative methods in creativity studies. Application of multivariate statistics.  Conducting and reporting statistical analyses using statistical software programs through lab experiences. Investigation of steps of test construction. Critical evaluation of published research. Development of a quantitative research design. Application of learning to students’ research. Offered occasionally, beginning summer 2020.

ENT 473 Electric Vehicles in Smart Grid. Prerequisite: ENT 471 or instructor permission. Introduction to the latest advancements in the planning and operation of electric vehicles (EV) from smart grid perspective. Study of problems such as charging station sizing and placement as well as charging management of EVs considering the technical characteristics of EVs. Offered occasionally, beginning fall 2020.

ENT 573 Planning and Operation of Electric Vehicles in Smart Grid. Prerequisite: ENT 471 or instructor permission. Introduction to the latest advancements in the planning and operation of electric vehicles (EV) from a smart grid perspective. Study of problems such as charging station sizing and placement as well as charging management of EVs considering the technical characteristics of EVs. Offered occasionally, beginning fall 2020.
