How Metacognitive Instructors Can Use Their Learning Management System to Facilitate Student Learning - September 29

Please join us for the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) session "How Metacognitive Instructors Can Use Their Learning Management System to Facilitate Student Learning," facilitated by John Draeger, director of the TLC, and Brooke Winckelmann, instructional designer, on Thursday, September 29, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in Butler Library 318.

This session explores ways instructors can be metacognitive about course design and delivery, especially when it comes to their use of a learning management system (LMS). The model (Draeger & Winckelmann, 2020) offers strategies for being intentional about how learning materials are organized to facilitate learning (e.g., self-contained, student-directed, stand-alone) and provides instructors with opportunities to monitor student progress, adjust their instructional method, and offer students opportunities to learn about their own learning.

Please register through the Workshop Registration System.
