I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sumana Silverheels as interim director of student accessibility services (SAS), effective April 11. Ms. Silverheels has served as the SAS technology and accommodations coordinator since 2010. Before joining Buffalo State College, Ms. Silverheels served as the assistive technology training director at the University at Buffalo (UB)’s Center for Assistive Technology, Client Services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and industrial electronics and a master’s degree in social sciences, interdisciplinary studies.
