New Virtual Training Available: Threat Evaluation and Reporting Overview (TERO)
Buffalo State faculty and staff are invited to register for an upcoming virtual Threat Evaluation and Reporting Overview (TERO) training session. This two-hour introductory training is designed for community members who may play a role in identifying potential threats or concerning behaviors.
Using a behavioral approach to violence prevention, TERO raises awareness of risk factors, triggers, stressors, and warning behaviors that may be associated with targeted violence. The training also emphasizes the importance of community involvement in connecting individuals with help while respecting privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties.
The training is free and open to all Buffalo State faculty and staff. Pre-registration is required to receive virtual meeting details, a participant guide, and a course completion certificate.
