Ysaÿe Barnwell to Lead Community Sing: November 29

Internationally acclaimed artist Ysaÿe Barnwell (Sweet Honey in the Rock, Beloved, W. C. Handy’s Blues) will conduct a community sing on Thursday, November 29, at 7:00 p.m. in the Jacqueline Vito LoRusso Alumni and Visitor Center. This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited so please arrive early. Join us for this moving and transformative experience.

Dr. Barnwell will also join Buffalo State for a brief residency from November 27 to 30, delivering the lectures "The Importance of the Negro Spiritual" and "The Global Perspective of African American Music." These lectures will be open only to members of the Buffalo State community. Details will be forthcoming.
