Last Week for 'Cabaret' Performances

The Buffalo State Theater Department and Casting Hall Productions proudly present Cabaret in Upton Hall's Warren Enters Theatre. This production is directed by Jennifer Toohey, assistant professor of theater, and adapted from the book by Joe Masteroff. Music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb.

In 1930s Germany, Cliff is a struggling American writer seeking inspiration for his next novel. His life is forever changed when he enters the seedy Kit Kat Klub. Soon he is swept up in a strange and mysterious world of indulgence, sex, drinking, and (of course) dancing while the Nazi party ominously rises to power in the background. Featuring performances from Buffalo State’s dance company and a gender-bending cast—all presided over by a mysterious, omnipresent "Master of Ceremonies"—Cabaret promises to be a deeply moving and unforgettable evening. Willkommen!

Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 878-3005, or in person at the Rockwell Hall Box Office.

Performances April 26 and 27 at 8:00 p.m. and April 28 at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m.
