Retirement of Susan Mary Paige

Academic Transition Programs would like to wish Susan Mary Paige, lecturer in Academic Success, a wonderful retirement. Dr. Paige, who worked for SUNY for 26 years—22 of those at Buffalo State College—retired September 1. She taught courses in Academic Affairs and the Communication Department. She also served on the UNC 100 Oversight and Assessment Committee, the Bengal Learning Community Engagement Committee, the Diversity Committee, and the Teaching Effectiveness Committee. Dr. Paige has mentored many first-year students to present their research at the Student Research and Creativity Conference and other research opportunities. She was also a familiar volunteer for First-Year Convocation, first day of class via Orientation, Commencement activities, and the Pedagogical Institute. And in her spare time, outside of Buffalo State, she represented the college by serving on the Literacy Empowerment Action Plan (LEAP) board of directors. Please join us in wishing Dr. Paige a well-deserved retirement! She is a treasure and will be missed.
