Science and Mathematics Complex Phase 4 to Begin

Buffalo State is about to embark on the fourth and final phase of construction to finish the spectacular Science and Mathematics Complex. Additional classrooms, offices, and teaching and research labs will be constructed along the light-filled atrium and corridors. The complex will also feature a greenhouse, café, and planetarium. The planetarium, positioned as a large sphere inside the glass-enclosed three-story entrance lobby, will likely become a campus icon.

A construction contract has been awarded to Manning Squires Hennig Co. Inc., of Batavia, who will begin foundation pile-driving activity the week of July 16. We ask for your understanding as this noisy but necessary work continues daily from 7:00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. through late August. The complex is expected to be ready for classes in January 2021.

Please visit the Facilities Construction and Maintenance website for additional information about this and other construction projects on campus.
