'Shocking the System: Nikola Tesla and the EV - A Revelatory Story': July 13

The Burchfield Penney Art Center presents "Shocking the System: Nikola Tesla and the EV - A Revelatory Story" at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, as part of M&T Second Friday.

In a dynamically illustrated talk, Buffalo State professor emeritus Francis Lestingi, Ph.D., will delve into all things Tesla, including the revealing story of the suppression of the EV over a hundred years ago. Find out how the visionary inventor of alternating current power, wireless communication, radio, robotics, remote control, x-ray imaging, radar, neon, and florescent lighting foresaw technologies we are just beginning to harness.

Often called “the man who invented the twentieth century,” Nikola Tesla was a technological wizard whose far-reaching legacy is now inspiring the twenty-first. Our wireless world and desire for clean energy is a direct byproduct of Tesla’s singular genius, awareness of which has catapulted him from cult figure to global phenomenon.

More information is available on the Burchfield Penney Facebook page.
