Spring 2020 Fashion and Textile Technology Exhibitions on Display through February 21

The Buffalo State College Fashion and Textile Technology Department (FTT) proudly presents two fashion exhibitions by international scholars from Korea:

Royal and Noble Children’s Clothes of the Joseon Dynasty shows Korean traditional children’s clothes worn by the royal and nobility during the Joseon dynasty period in Korea. All dresses on display are designed and handmade by Sanghee Park, assistant professor and chair of the Traditional Korean Costume Department at Baewha Women’s University in South Korea.

Explore: 3-D Printed Fashion presents 10 experimental designs made by 3-D printing technology. Jeong-wook Choi, professor in the Department of Textile and Clothing Design at Kyung Hee University in South Korea, used the unit-textile modeling and lace-textile approaches to produce wearable garments using 3-D printing technology. The 3-D printed fashion can make “zero wasting,” “zero waiting,” “zero washing,” “zero wrinkling,” and “zero fitting” possible.

Both exhibitions are on display in the FTT showcases on the third floor of the Technology Building until Friday, February 21, and are funded by the Grant Allocation Committee at Buffalo State College.
