Tell Students: Summer China Exchange Opportunity - June 19–July 3

Zhengzhou University of Light Industry (ZZULI) and Buffalo State have partnered to offer an opportunity to students through which they can spend 14 nights in China June 19–July 3, 2018. This trip will include an introduction to traditional Chinese arts such as calligraphy, folk music, and paper cutting. All program in-country costs are covered (accommodations, meals, insurance, and domestic transportation). Students are responsible only for round-trip airfare to Zhengzhou Airport (CGO) arriving on June 19 and departure from Shanghai (PVG) on July 3, and they must also obtain a tourist visa ($150), and Geo Blue health insurance ($30) for an estimated total of $1,500.

To apply for the program, students should send an essay of no more than one page that addresses how this experience will affect their academic work and professional goals. Essays must be addressed to Dr. Robert Summers, assistant provost for global engagement, and e-mailed to intleduc@buffalostate.edu by Friday, May 4. Student are encouraged to have a current valid passport when they apply. Questions can be directed via e-mail or by contacting Melissa Holland, director of international education, 878-6834.
