Students interested in participating in the Alternative Summer Break service trip must submit their online application by 11:59 p.m. Monday, March 16. Applications and trip details can be found on the Civic and Community Engagement website.

Each Alternative Break experience provides students with the opportunity to dig deep into a particular social justice issue through hands-on projects with community partners. Throughout the experience, they'll gain leadership skills, take action, and make a difference alongside a team of 10 other Buffalo State students.

The Alternative Summer Break trip, Creating Access to Education Success for Youth, May 17–22, will allow students to take action around the educational achievement gap and provide support for community organizations influencing Baltimore youth.
