Buffalo State Homecoming: 'Let the Good Times Roar' - September 29-October 3

The division of Student Affairs is excited to announce that this year’s Homecoming will take place September 27–October 2.

As we prepare to celebrate Homecoming Week 2021, Buffalo State College will also begin celebrating its 150th anniversary. On September 13, 1871, we began teaching students and changing lives, and 150 years later, our Bengals continue to roar! This year’s Homecoming theme, “Let the Good Times Roar…150 Years at Buffalo State College,” embraces the amazing milestone in the college’s history—celebrating all of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends who have been and are a part of our wonderful campus community. As we reflect on our past and look toward our future, join us during Homecoming Week 2021 and keep the good times roaring.

Celebrate with us during Homecoming Week of our sesquicentennial anniversary as we continue to believe, inspire, and achieve at Buffalo State College!

The weeklong celebration of our amazing Bengal community near and far will include the following activities:

  • Chalk the Plaza!
  • Benji’s 150th Birthday Party
  • The Bengal Connect Student Organization Fair Sponsored by USG
  • Office Door Decorating Contest
  • Postcard to Families

Buffalo State’s 150th Bengal Birthday Bash - September 28
Buffalo State College's 150th birthday is September 13, 2021. We will be celebrating alongside Homecoming week with singing and cupcakes on Tuesday, September 28, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union Plaza. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join the celebration.

Department and Office Door Decoration Contest
In addition to joining our activities during the week, we encourage campus departments and offices to participate in the Homecoming Door Decoration Contest.

Doors are to be decorated by Monday, September 27, with judging to take place on Wednesday, September 29, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Decorated doors will remain on display throughout the week of Homecoming. Judging will be based on best overall design and best use of the theme "Bengals, Always Together."

Please register online for the Homecoming Door Decoration Contest and contact Student Leadership and Engagement with any questions regarding Homecoming.
