Workshop: 'Using OHM and Waymaker to Improve Student Success' - January 7

Please join us for a two-part session on Lumen Learning's innovative platform for pedagogy and open educational resources, "Using OHM and Waymaker to Improve Student Success," on Monday, January 7, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Butler Library 314.

Led by a team from SUNY OER Services and Lumen Learning, participants will learn about Lumen’s partnership with SUNY and the innovative OER courseware available at no cost to instructors or students.

From 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., learn about Online Homework Manager, a flexible online homework engine that includes OER textbooks and videos, algorithmically generated assessments, machine grading, and immediate feedback for students.

From 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., learn about Waymaker, a personalized learning experience designed using OER that includes personalized study plans, formative assessment, and learning by doing.

Both segments will share pedagogical best practices and provide hands-on demonstrations, introduce ready-to-adopt OER course materials. By the end of the session, participants will have the knowledge and skills necessary to use these tools in their courses.

Please see the SUNY OER Services website for courses using Lumen Learning's innovative platform for open educational resources.
