Change in Reporting Structure for Burchfield Penney
Effective June 1, 2017, the Burchfield Penney Art Center at Buffalo State College will report to Academic Affairs under the leadership of Provost Melanie Perreault. This realignment places the Burchfield Penney with our other academic departments and centers on campus. This year we celebrate the 50th anniversary since the founding of the Burchfield Penney Art Center at Buffalo State, and we continue to applaud the growth and maturity of our BPAC. This new reporting structure will facilitate increased collaborations and synergies among faculty, students, and staff. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead as the BPAC continues to embrace our mission as SUNY’s urban-engaged campus through its outreach and sharing of artistic, historical, and contemporary work with the broader community.
