Tell Students: Alternative Break Information Sessions - September 21, October 5

Students are invited to attend one of two information sessions about the Volunteer and Service-Learning Center's Alternative Break program to learn specific details about the upcoming 2016–2017 trip experiences: Alternative Winter Break, It Takes a Village: Equity, Education, and Poverty-Alleviation in Cleveland, Ohio; and Alternative February Break, Building an Inclusive "Buffalo Renaissance."

The following information sessions will be held:

  • Wednesday, September 21, 12:30–1:30 p.m., Cleveland Hall 306
  • Wednesday, October 5, 4:30–5:30 p.m., Bacon Hall 205

Students can find basic information about both trip experiences on the VSLC website, but the information session will give them details about the nonprofit organizations and their service projects, lodging accommodations, transportation logistics, and more. Information about the application process, fundraising and scholarship opportunities, and pre-trip orientation meetings will also be discussed by the student site leaders coordinating the trip experiences.
