Achievements

David N. Ben-Merre, chair and professor of English, has written the book, O: Apostrophic Ghosts and the Disappearing Acts of Lyric Poetry, which is now available from SUNY Press.  Jonathan Culler calls it "a very impressive book" and Margaret Ronda writes, "Readers interested in new interpretations of Dickinson, Yeats, Stevens, Bishop, Merrill, and Hayes, as well as deconstruction, Agambenian readings, and material poetics, will find a great deal to learn from this book."
