Brad Baumgardner, Coordinator, Veteran and Military Services Office

Brad Baumgardner, coordinator of the Buffalo State Veteran and Military Services Office, received the 2022 Buffalo Veterans Impact Award from the Veterans One-Stop Center of Western New York. The award was given during the fifth annual Red White Rock ’n’ Blues Fundraiser, held at Sportsmens Tavern on September 25. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Master Sergeant Baumgardner served as an enlisted aviator in both airborne mission systems specialist and C-130 aircraft loadmaster jobs for more than 13 years. He was nominated for the award by Jack Mack, associate clinical manager of the Weigel Health Center, who praised Mr. Baumgardner for revitalizing veteran and military services on campus through his mentoring, education, and outreach efforts, including specialized orientation and advising sessions for veterans. Mr. Baumgardner joined the Buffalo State campus in fall 2016 and currently works under the division of Student Affairs as part of the Inclusion and Equity Office.
