The African Diaspora Project 2020

The African Diaspora Project at Buffalo State College, hosted by the Student Leadership and Engagement Office, returns for its second year in 2020 with the theme “The Royal Return.” The project brings awareness to the rich history and manner of which diasporic countries came to be and where they derived from. Highlighting a rich legacy of kingdoms, royalty, and an abundance of resources, The Royal Return ADP 2020 month of programming focuses on global connections but also illustrates ways to utilize resources, showcase rich talents, and actively experience multiculturalism.

Furthermore, to commemorate Black History Month, a series of free events has been created to cultivate awareness, celebration, inclusion, and participation in the African Diaspora Project 2020. Our office extends an invitation to the campus community to participate and attend the events listed below. For additional information and opportunities to collaborate, please contact Ashley C. Goodwin, assistant director for student leadership and engagement, 878-4631.
