Students are seeking to establish a new student organization, The Blerd Club, and are in need of a full-time faculty or staff member to serve as their advisor. 

About the proposed organization:

The Blerd Club aims to create a welcoming and inclusive space for students interested in various aspects of geek and nerd culture—including anime, music, video games, television, movies, and more. The organization’s mission is to provide opportunities for students to discuss their interests, build community, and stay informed on related topics. A core goal of the club is to highlight the contributions and experiences of Black individuals and other diverse cultures within the nerd, tech, gaming, and geek communities. The group hopes to foster an environment where cultural exchange, creativity, and learning can take place with appropriate context, attribution, and positivity.
