"It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" - November 12–16
The Buffalo State Theater Department and Casting Hall Productions present "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" in Warren Enters Theatre in Upton Hall on November 12, 13, 14, and 15 at 7:30 p.m. and November 16 at 2:00 p.m.
This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast, adapted by Joe Landry with music and musical arrangements by Kevin Connors. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.
Directed by Jennifer Toohey, associate professor of theater and director of women, gender, and sexuality studies. Featuring student actors: Phoebe Auquier, Alisha Avila, Connor Johnson, Sage Lambie, Jaiden Morey, Alvaro Rodriguez, Shawn Smith, and Kimana-Lee Tomlinson. Special cameo appearance by Atasha James, winner of the Bengala 2025 auction for a walk-on role. Student stage manager: Myshawn Sikes; student assistant stage manager: Alvaro Rodriguez.
