The Buffalo State University community is saddened by the death of Lydia M. Fish, professor emerita of anthropology, who died January 19, 2026. Dr. Fish joined the campus in 1967 and retired in 2015. Dr. Fish's friends and family will be gathering to celebrate her life this May. Details will be shared on her personal website. More information is available online.
