Posted:
Applications are now open for four 2026–2027 SUNY Academic Affairs Fellows Programs, which provide support for system-wide initiatives in key areas of academic excellence and innovation. Eligible faculty and staff are encouraged to apply.
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice Fellows (open to eligible faculty). Fellows support colleagues in updating and developing courses that fulfill the DEISJ General Education requirement, while building a broader community of practice around the teaching of DEISJ topics.
- Civil Discourse and Civic Education and Engagement Fellows (open to eligible faculty and staff). Fellows advance SUNY's commitment to strengthening civic education, civil discourse, and civic awareness across the system.
- AI for the Public Good Fellows (open to eligible faculty, instructional designers, and librarians). Fellows provide resources and consultations to colleagues developing new—or updating existing—courses and learning activities related to the Information Literacy core competency in the General Education Framework.
- Sustainability Faculty Fellows (open to eligible faculty). Fellows support colleagues in incorporating sustainability into courses and curricula across a wide range of disciplines.
Applications and submission links for each fellowship are available on the Fellows Programs Application Portal. The application deadline is June 8, 2026. There is a Fellows Application Information Session on Monday, May 18, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. via Zoom.
