The French Colonial Historical Society (FCHS) will hold its 49th annual meeting on the campus of Buffalo State University from May 29-31.  The FCHS is an international, bilingual academic organization devoted to the history of French colonialism, overseas French possessions, and the legacy of imperialism. The 2025 meeting will bring 100 scholars from around the world to Buffalo to present and discuss their work on the creation and operation of the French colonial empire.
