'Buffalo State Talks' Series: Spring 2025

The Alumni Engagement Office partners with the Honors Program each semester to present "Buffalo State Talks," a lecture series featuring faculty, staff, and alumni from Buffalo State University. Each lecture is different, highlighting popular discussions and topics within the world today.

This semester, Dr. Alex Ford, ’12, will be joining us on Tuesday, April 8, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the LoRusso Alumni and Visitor Center to present "The Path of Purpose: How Nutrition Fueled My Medical Career."

Ford is a native of Albany, New York, and has volunteered with 4th Family Inc. for more than 10 years. He attended Christian Brothers Academy and then enrolled at Buffalo State University, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in dietetics. After graduating, he returned to Albany, interested in wellness and preventive medicine. He worked as a registered dietitian while completing his remaining coursework to attend medical school and become a physician. While working and studying, Ford volunteered as a nutrition educator at 4th Family.

This lecture series is free to attend for all students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Refreshments will be served. For more information and to register for the event, please click here.

This spring lecture series is brought to you by the Alumni Engagement Office, Honors Program and School of the Professions.
