Buffalo State Theater Department Presents 'Teach'

The Buffalo State Theater Department proudly presents the first staged production of Teach, a new play by local playwright Donna Hoke

Five actors, three characters, one story: Ten years ago, Ken and Chris were teacher and student. Now, as principal and teacher, Ken uses a student's suspiciously high grade as license to grill Chris until the young teacher is forced to confront both past and present.

Directed by Sabrina Kahwaty, this play features student actors Jemia Bennett, Zoe Goñez, Manuel Mejia, Myshawn Sikes, and Min Zo; and student designers Jaden Browne and Shawn Smith.

Tickets available for performances on Friday, February 23, at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, February 24, at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday, February 25, at 1:00 p.m. in the Savage Theater and Communication Building’s Flexible Theatre.

“Good theater starts conversations, and Teach will do just that.”
—Sabrina Kahwaty
