2026 Arbor Day Lecture: Native Trees and Shrubs for WNY Landscapes - April 24

Posted:

Members of the Buffalo State University campus community are invited to enjoy the lecture, "Native Trees and Shrubs for WNY Landscapes," presented by Ken Parker, Lifetime CNLP, on Friday, April 24, at 3:00 p.m. in the Technology Building Room 160.  Learn the importance of using native trees and shrubs when landscaping a property.

Mr. Parker is a Lifetime Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional (CNLP), horticulture instructor, lecturer, and designer. He has lectured at many tradeshows and horticultural seminars throughout Western New York and beyond. This is a great opportunity to learn about our native trees and shrubs in WNY.

This lecture is open to the campus community and the public. For more information, please contact Susan McCartney, director of the Small Business Development Center, or Steven Sypniewski, campus arborist. Thank you to the Sustainability Committee, the Friends of the Maud Gordon Holmes Arboretum, and the GAC for making this event possible.
