Brian Haas, Great Lakes Center Field Station Manager, was recently interviewed for a segment on Channel 2 WGRZ+ Daybreak. The focus of the interview was new the Buffalo buoy which was deployed this past spring about a mile or so from the Buffalo Marina.  The Buffalo buoy gathers both above- and below-water real-time data (such as water and air temperature, wave height, wind speed, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, etc.) which is accessible to everyone via Seagull.  The Great Lakes Center also operates the Dunkirk buoy located in Lake Erie about 6 miles off shore from Dunkirk, NY.
