Tell Students: Gender and Sustainability Panel Discussion - March 18

Posted:

The Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Interdisciplinary Unit invites you to attend the panel discussion “Women Shaping a Sustainable Future in Buffalo: A Panel Discussion on the East Side Parkways Coalition” on Wednesday, March 18, from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. in Technology Building 160.

In recognition of Women’s History Month, this event honors women’s efforts to improve local community health and build a better tomorrow for all. The panel will feature scholars and activists involved with the East Side Parkways Coalition’s advocacy work. Our distinguished guests include Dr. Jennifer Roberts, Beth Elkins Wales, and India Walton. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Ruth Goldman, associate professor of Communication.

We strongly encourage you to invite your students to attend this event. They will learn about the challenges and rewards that environmental justice activists are experiencing here in Buffalo and be inspired to take action in their own communities.

Light refreshments will be served. This program is free and open to the public.

This program is made possible with the support of the Grant Allocation Committee, E. H. Butler Library, and the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Interdisciplinary Unit.

Any questions can be directed to Julie Setele (seteleja@buffalostate.edu), senior assistant librarian.
