Tell Students: Social Justice Book Club Spring Meetings

Posted:

You are invited to join the Social Justice Book Club this spring as we read Displacement, by Kiku Hughes. This graphic novel tells the story of a modern-day Japanese American teen who gets pulled back in time.

The book club meets in person roughly every other Wednesday, beginning February 4, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Butler 318. Meeting dates are February 4 and 25, March 11, and April 1, 15, and 29. We are thrilled to be joined by the author (virtually) on April 29.

The book club is free and open to all Buffalo State students, faculty, staff, and alums.

Anyone interested in joining the book club should fill out this form. While supplies last, a free copy of the book is available to all registered student participants.

This program is made possible with support from E. H. Butler Library, the Muriel A. Howard Honors Program, and Equity and Campus Diversity. Any questions can be directed to Julie Setele (seteleja@buffalostate.edu). More details about the book club are available at https://library.buffalostate.edu/SJbookclub.
