The WIT Tech Cookbook: A Recipe for Success
Share Your Favorite Family Recipes!
As part of our summer initiatives, we are cooking up some great activities. Buffalo State Women in Technology (WIT) is developing a new WIT Tech Cookbook. The cookbook cover will be designed by our talented Buffalo State students, and once completed, we hope to offer the cookbook through donations to help support future WIT programs and initiatives.
We invite you to share your favorite family recipes, desserts, appetizers, beverages, or specialty dishes. Contact Val Celenza or Maria Garrity to provide your recipe. The recipes you submit will be included in the final cookbook publication, along with your name and institution. Thank you.
WIT Committee Leadership Virtual Meeting – June 2
We are planning an informal virtual MS Teams session on Tuesday, June 2, from 1:00–2:00 p.m. for committee leads and any committee participants who would like to share ideas. This meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss how the committees are progressing, upcoming plans, and future initiatives. Contact the WIT co-chairs for more information.
Upcoming WIT Events, Website and Committees – Fall 2026
Buffalo State TECH HUB Event
This fall, we are planning an event in the TECH HUB located in Buffalo State’s Upton Hall. Additional details will be announced soon, with tentative dates of September 8 or 10. Please watch the Daily for updates. Sue and the SBDC team have created an exciting opportunity for the WIT program by partnering with the Tech Hub.
Fall Guest Speakers and Presentations
We are also planning guest speakers, including Dr. Gerard J. Puccio and other representatives. Dr. Puccio will discuss how the Doctor of Professional Studies (D.P.S.) in Creativity and Change Leadership degree program aligns with WIT Technology and how emerging technologies intersect with innovation, creativity, and leadership. These presentations are tentatively planned for late September or early October 2026.
If you know a faculty member, staff member, student, or alumni interested in presenting the technologies they use in their workplace, academic research, student research, or professional experiences, please reach out to us. We would welcome the opportunity to include additional presentations in our fall programming.
WIT Website Development
With the help of Marketing and Communications, we are currently working on the new WIT website, which will be launched soon. We are excited to share it with you and highlight everything we have accomplished with the program over the past four months.
Get Involved in a Committee
Buffalo State’s Women in Technology (WIT) is a faculty and staff chapter within the SUNY-wide WIT program that connects participants in the campus community who are interested in technology. As technology continues to rapidly evolve, this is the perfect time to engage in these important conversations and further elevate Buffalo State’s leadership, visibility, and institutional profile within the technology community.
- To become involved with one of our committees, please reach out directly to the committee chairs. They will welcome the support.
- To be added to the BSU WIT listserv, please contact WIT Co-Chairs.
