2025 Mandatory Employee Compliance Trainings due by Oct. 10

Posted:

Federal regulations, state laws, and/or campus policies require that all employees participate in mandatory compliance training on various essential topics. These topics include Preventing Discrimination and Harassment, Preventing Workplace Violence and Gender-Based Violence, Information Security Awareness, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX, and Ethics Training. These mandated trainings are available online 24/7 through BizLibrary.

The list below identifies the required trainings that all employees, regardless of title, must complete to comply with federal regulations, state law, SUNY regulations, and/or campus policies:

  • 2025 Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Training
  • 2025 Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
  • 2025 Workplace Violence Prevention Training
  • 2025 Title IX
  • 2025 Information Security Awareness Training
  • Mandatory Ethics Training will be launched mid-October, further details coming soon

Compliance is monitored and preference in the upcoming discretionary process (UUP employees, if eligible) will be given to employees who have completed the compliance trainings by Oct. 10, 2025.

Supervisors

If you are a supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring that all your direct reports complete these trainings before the deadline. This includes communicating the training requirements and deadline, following up on their progress toward completion and escalating any technical issues in a timely manner.

Student Employees

Including graduate assistants, work-study students, student assistants, and volunteers are also required to complete mandated compliance trainings. Please note: This year, student employees will be completing a different Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 training video than faculty and staff.
