Focus is on applied practice of identifying opportunities for, planning of, and implementing effective social action to address injustices in the community, locally and internationally. Includes assessing current policy practices and social work interventions.

Course focusing on rhetorical writing for various non-scholarly audiences and across different genres. Written and multimodal projects emphasize students’ development of critical reading and thinking; informational literacy; knowledge of conventions; and recursive writing processes. Students must earn a minimum grade of C.
CWP 102 College Writing II (formerly Argumentation and Research)
Offered Every Semester
Course focusing on researched writing and composing across different scholarly situations. Written, multimodal, and oral projects continue to develop students’ rhetorical use of critical reading and thinking; information literacy; knowledge of conventions; and recursive writing processes. Students must earn a minimum grade of C.
