Introduces foundational data analytics concepts and tools for business decision-making. Students work with real-world datasets to create visualizations and apply basic statistical and artificial intelligence techniques. Emphasis on experiential learning, ethical analytics use, and data-driven managerial decision-making.

Explores leadership and its ongoing nature as a process of challenge, personal growth, and continual development. Students examine key leadership theories, reflect on their individual leadership styles, and analyze current leadership issues. BUS 334 Business Law I

Pre-requisite: Sophomore Level

Offered Every Semester

Introduces fundamental legal principles affecting business, including contracts, product liability, warranties, dispute resolution, and ethical decision-making. Students learn legal terminology and examine the role of law in responsible business conduct and managerial decision-making.

BUS 688 Leadership in Organizations

Offered Every Spring

Examines leadership theories, team dynamics, and ethical decision-making in contemporary organizations. Students develop skills in building high-performing teams, managing conflict, and fostering inclusive cultures through experiential learning, simulations, and group projects. Emphasis on collaboration, communication, and principled leadership.

HTR 385 Club Leadership (formerly Private Club Management)

Pre-requisite: HTR 110

Offered Every Fall Semester

Comprehensive overview of the club industry with a focus on unreasonable hospitality, membership, social spaces, athletic activities, dining, culinary, special events, tennis, swimming, golf and other sports. Leadership, finance, capital improvement, board governance and structure will be analyzed along with site tours.

HTR 400 Catering Operations (formerly Catering Management)

Pre-requisite: HTR 110

Offered Every Semester

An overview of all aspects of catering management to include contracts, client relationships, beverage service, menu planning, costs, pricing, human resources, purchasing, receiving, production and sanitation. Active participation in tours, catered in-person events from planning and execution is required.
