The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the College Senate Curriculum Committee for final spring review:

New Programs:

B.S. Speech-Language Pathology, BS-SOP SLP 

New Courses:
IDE 155 Fundamental Skills of Interior Design. Prerequisites: IDE 151, IDE 152, and IDE 153 or, for transfer students, prior interior design course credit with portfolio review by advisement. Studio exploration of small projects in mechanical and perspective drawing, color marker rendering and rapid ideation, model making and spatial exploration, and digital presentation methods. Projects will reinforce elements and principles of interior design and design theory. Offered summer semester, beginning summer 2020.

SPA 398 Spanish for Health and Social Service Professions. Prerequisite: SPA 302. Overview of key literacies and linguistic features of Spanish used in a range of medical and social service contexts. Further development toward the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Advanced-Mid language proficiency level. Taught in Spanish. Offered fall semester, beginning fall 2019.

SPA 399 Spanish for the Legal Professions. Prerequisite: SPA 302. Overview of comparative law related to differences between legal systems in United States and Spanish-speaking countries, plus key literacies and linguistic features of Spanish pertaining to U.S. penal and civil law.  Further development toward the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Advanced-Mid language proficiency level. Taught in Spanish. Offered spring semester, beginning spring 2020.
