The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the College Senate Curriculum Committee for fall 2022 review:
SWK 340 Applied Social Work. Prerequisites: SWK 330; social work majors only. Overview of the Just Practice social justice framework and the foundational theories used to create the Just Practice framework. Application of Just Practice and foundational theoretical perspectives in the assessment process at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels. Social work skills-based course. Offered spring semester, beginning spring 2024.
HEA 622 Advising and Supporting Diverse College Populations (formerly Techniques of Counseling). Prerequisite: Graduate standing. Fundamental skills of advising and supporting diverse college student populations; needs assessment and design of culturally inclusive interventions, strategies, and programs; facilitating individual and organizational pathways to success. Offered spring and fall semesters, beginning fall 2023.
