Advanced to the Curriculum Committee
The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the Curriculum Committee for review:
Course Revisions:
EXE 684 Practice-Based Research in Exceptional Education (formerly EXE 684 Graduate Seminar in Exceptional Education). Prerequisite: Instructor permission. Teacher candidates develop an understanding of the research process and how it is applied in classroom environments. Collaboratively, they identify a meaningful and authentic classwide and/or individual educational need, study the literature, and plan a single case design study. This process results in a proposal that is foundational for EXE 690 Master’s Project, completed the succeeding semester. Offered every semester.
EXE 690 Master’s Project in Exceptional Education (formerly EXE 690 Master’s Project). Prerequisite: EXE 684 or instructor permission. Teacher candidates implement, report, and disseminate the single case study designed in EXE 684 the previous semester. This data-based, applied project is directly related to each candidate’s program area of study and will be implemented in educational settings. Offered every semester.
