Deque University Training: Creating Accessible Microsoft Word Documents

We invite all content creators to familiarize themselves with the basics of creating accessible Microsoft Word documents through trainings provided by Deque University, Module: Document Accessibility 1.2, MS Word Accessibility Techniques. Please note that creating an accessible MS Word document is the first step to creating an accessible PDF.

Microsoft Word is a powerful application that is widely used to create content to teach, present, and distribute. Creating accessible content using the tools available in this application is simple. Accessible MS Word documents and PDFs greatly benefit all users with or without disability.

Deque University content will be available to Buffalo State College faculty and staff through August 2023. If you need to set up a new account, please complete the “Deque University registration request” form. If you are unsure whether you already have an account or not, please contact Sumana Silverheels, interim director of student accessibility services.
